Savannah College of Art and Design Collections

The Myrtle Jones Papers, 1933 to 2002, document the personal and professional life of Savannah artist Myrtle Jones arranged in six series---professional, personal, writings, newspaper clippings, audio and visual, and scrapbooks. These papers illustrate Jones’ life and work as a largely self-taught artist, including her involvement in Savannah’s art scene, ambition to be a published author of fiction, engagement with the downtown historic preservation movement, and personal relationships.
