Translation of: La partenza dell'argonauta. The original was published as a wartime diary in serial form in 1917 and as a section of the author's Hermaphrodito in 1918. Printed on double leaves. Issued as a book or, exclusively for museums, as a portfolio. "The book ... is bound in Okawara paper and boxed in linen with an image embossed on the cover. Each book is signed by the artist on the colophon page and numbered in type. Two hundred books are numbered 1 to 200, with thirty-two proofs numbered I to XXXII ... Fifty portfolios [unbound and boxed] are numbered 1 to 50, with six proofs numbered I to VI"--P. [99]. A section of notes by the translator George Scrivani (4 unnumbered pages on double leaves) issued loose in same box.
