Description:
There are four metal brackets on the side of the ukulele carrying case. Housed in a black leather case with white stiches. Inner case lined with green velvet fabric. Colophon: "Ukulele Series Book #23. Peter and Donna Thomas, Santa Cruz 2003." Artists' website: "This book was made by sawing a ukulele in half, affixing inner boards inside each chamber, then re-connecting the two halves with hinges and a lock. The chambers hold the accordion folded book, affixed on each end to the inner boards The text is our miniature Brief History of the Ukulele, enlarged and reprinted from the digital files. A new title page and colophon, printed on Peter's handmade paper, is sewn to the text. After completing this first one, and experimenting with a variant structure for a second, we decided to make an edition using the idea. Edition of fifteen copies."
