Original one-of-a-kind artists' book. Screen mono transfer and litho printing on found fabric and paper; embroidery; found text and images. Lunar narrative by David Press. Laid in three books 2.5 x 3.5 each, 2 accordion folded and one with cloth spine, all with cloth covers and embroidered titles, housed in a 9.25 x 4.25 x 1.75 leather hinged box and wrapped in a red silk ribbon printed with poetry. Artist's statement: "Medieval ladies carried small, personal prayer books. Mine are filled with found anti-feminist images and messages from the 1950s advising women how to be more desirable to men, as well as a book of fortunes advising them just how futile their efforts would be."
