Two page spread cartoon. Indoor and outdoor ice skating became quite a fad in 1916. Society women ordered skating costumes from their dressmakers, and large hotels created indoor rinks by flooding their ballrooms. Life magazine covers were on a variety of topics. Each issue had a theme that was introduced by the cover and reflected throughout the issue.
