Title:
Barred Out: When Woman Has Her Vote
Creator:
Cady, Harrison, 1877-1970
Description:
Full page cartoon. Life ran its share of anti-suffrage cartoons, but this issue was pro-suffrage, not a popular viewpoint to take. Pro-suffrage at that time did not always extend generously to all. This was still a very racist and classist society. Most issues of Life had a theme that was introduced by the cover and reflected throughout the issue. This issue was titled the "Pro-Suffrage Number."
