Abstract:
The Measure of a Child is a body of work that documents the daily life and activities of children in the Public School System. This documentation depicts the kids that I am around personally. I have chosen to depict their innocence, by creating this character with huge eyes, which represents the curiosity and willingness to absorb everything from their early educational experiences. Also, I’ve chosen to create a multi colored face, somewhat of a mask to camouflage the child’s identity as well as acknowledging the different shades of their skin.
