Abstract:
The mass media, including highly accessible sources like the news, newspapers, and especially
the Internet, is taking over the way things are communicated in the world we live in. I think
because people are over-exposed and deluged in these mass media sources, they might be losing
their ability to think for themselves about the many current events and issues that are reported to
them; and that they are being controlled more and more by the biased mass media. I think that
this is a modern tragedy, and I view with displeasure how truths can be completely concealed by
the mass media from the people around the world. I wanted to let my viewers have a breather by
helping them approach various world issues with humor rather than suffocating seriousness, and
also help them think for themselves by giving them an alternate approach to these issues.
