Abstract:
"The integration of motion graphics in the stage design for contemporary electronic dance music (EDM) live performance has become a standard feature of live events. The inclusion of the animated forms and the interaction of the performer with motion graphics demonstrates the inclusion of post-cinematic media in EDM live performance. This analysis outlines the parallel histories of EDM and post-cinematic motion graphics in staging, demonstrating the importance of motion graphics for current live performance production and audience experience." --Abstract
