Abstract:
"This study explores the link between dietary habits, work environments, and employee well-being in the tech industry, using Silicon Valley's Intuit as a case study. It highlights the importance of nurturing a health-focused workspace amid rising work pressures (Meister, 2021). Through surveys, interviews, and observations, it uncovers employees' inclination towards health-conscious eating while considering factors like stress and convenience. Guided by survey findings, actionable design recommendations emerge, advocating diverse dining and fitness spaces, health-promoting activities, and nutritional guidance. These strategies aim to cultivate a wellness-centered culture, ultimately enhancing well-being and competitiveness in tech companies. Drawing insights from the Intuit case study, this research offers practical approaches for tech firms to integrate innovation, sustainability, employee welfare, and collaboration, fostering an environment that combines wellness with success." --Abstract
