Abstract:
"This thesis explores the potential of architecture and interior design in facilitating the healing process for children with cancer. Unlike conventional approaches that primarily concentrate on the medical aspects of treatment, this research focuses on the psychosocial needs of children and their families within the rehabilitation center. By creating a supportive environment that enhances their mood, this thesis aims to accelerate the healing process. By recognizing that children perceive and respond to their surroundings differently from adults and possess greater resilience, the study aims to identify shortcomings in conventional rehabilitation centers designed for adults and propose improvements explicitly tailored to children's needs." --Abstract
