Abstract:
“While motion capture technology provides accurate and efficient solutions for animation, keyframing is still an important part of the production process, allowing animators to improve timing, exaggerate performance, and further support the 12 principles of animation. Through the analysis of various case studies utilizing both techniques, this thesis will compare and contrast the workflow of both motion capture and keyframe animation, highlighting examples of how these methods can be combined to achieve the best, most efficient results.” –Abstract
