Abstract:
"In this thesis, I will argue that American adaptations of Japanese Horror films have the potential to expand upon the original source material. I will compare Gojira (1954) with Godzilla King of the Monsters! (1956), and Godzilla (1998) as well as Ringu (1998) with The Ring (2002) and discuss how the newer version made an impact on the original and the world." -- Abstract
