Abstract:
The thesis is mainly to explore the theme of rebuilding fairy tales, and use the book illustration, Alice in Macau, I made to supporting. Rebuilding fairy tales refers to use new forms of expression, more complex world views and more surprising characters setting promote traditional fairy tales which people are forgetting. Moreover, retelling fairy tales can be used as the prototype of the picture book script and benefit young illustrators to start. Therefore, I hope that to express and share my experience of rebuilding that I have obtained after research and study. Alice in Macau is composed of ten digital no words illustrations. I hope to reconstruct the new feeling of “Alice dreaming in Wonderland” by the concept of the pictures and impression of the original fairy tale in reader’s mind.
