Abstract:
There are various ways to determine identity, but at the end, our identities are formed through cultural influences. “Multiculturalism” is derived from individuals or communities with more than one dominant cultural influence. Being a multicultural individual, I have always been intrigued by the notion of identity. Whether we are here by our choice or force, multicultural people do not have a common ground where we can feel comfortable, and we lose a place we can call “home.” Thus, we create our own place called “third space.” It is an ideal space where influences merge, yet it is uncertain and unstable. "Lost in Adaption" is a series of photographs interpreting the dislocation of cultural understanding through experiences.
