Abstract:
"This thesis first introduces various types of birds and the reasons for their extinction. There are many reasons for a bird population to become endangered, and the causes may include human activities, threats from other exotic species, environmental damage, and loss of habitat. Among these, human activity is a significant factor. This thesis also describes the relationship between human activities and these endangered birds. This thesis explains the role of metaphor and the application of visual metaphor in illustration. In order to solve the impact of human activities on bird species, this thesis will also explain how to add elements of visual metaphor into drawing through mixed media on the premise of retaining the unique artistic style of traditional scientific illustration. The purpose is to introduce the educational significance of this form of art, including how it can raise people's awareness of protecting the environment and promoting the protection of endangered birds." --Abstract
