Abstract:
"This thesis discusses how I utilized the acting techniques of Constantin Stanislavski's textual analysis and Uta Hagen's substitution, to authentically portray the character of Lucia, a Mexican immigrant, in the short Zoom adaptation of Tanya Saracho's play, 'Fade.' This thesis further explores how the creative process used to construct my character informed me about the misrepresentation of women of color in the entertainment industry." --Abstract
