Abstract:
"Foley is to perform and record sound effects in sync with the moving picture, which is an integral part of storytelling, especially in film, television, games, etc. The most common Foley sounds are footsteps; they are hard to capture on film sets because the microphones and recordists focus on dialogue. This thesis demonstrates a workflow of creating Digital Foley and sound effect libraries for footsteps. The project includes Recording, Editing, Classifying, Creating Sound Library, and Creating Kontakt Instrument. This thesis aims to make the footstep sound flexible across various applications and easy to use in most digital audio workstations." --Abstract
