Abstract:
This thesis paper is an analysis of the history of the treatment of fear in children’s
books from the perspective of child psychology and the history of published books for
children. The goal of my thesis project, Phobia Phoebe, was to use my new illustration
style to continue to develop my style, sense of humor and personal vision to address the
ageless issue of how children cope with fear.
