Abstract:
I create work that attempts to reflect existence accurately. To do so requires an understanding of the storyteller that delivers the message, the structure of the story, and the culture that will receive the story. This thesis attempts to examine these three elements with the objective of providing insight for the proper interpretation of my work. By using the euphemism
“dagnabit” to define my work, I assert my standing as a spineless storyteller.
