Abstract:
"This thesis is focused on using animation of effect and environment to support the expression of emotions of characters in storytelling in 2D animation. By using different designs, color, and the movements of effect animation and environment to reflect and complete the character’s emotional and personality changes through analyzing the movement patterns and/or the design of a character under different emotions, to correspondingly design the different movements and look of effect elements. Also, the unique lighting and tone design in 2D animation would be considered to reflect a character’s emotional state."
