Abstract:
"With the development of CGI technology comes an evolution in the significance of design aesthetics. The importance of prop design in particular has been gaining in popularity. In the CGI industry, CG artists often need to spend more time thinking about prop creation. Especially in works of fantasy, sometimes the props, such as magical artifacts or weapons, are even more important than the main characters. Because of historical value and cultural heritage, mythology has always been a great source for artistic inspiration. The ancient book of Chinese folklore and myth, 'Investiture of the Gods' describes a large number of Chinese gods and their distinctive magical artifacts. It provides many special inspiration for 3D artifact modeling, and CG artists can be inspired by artifacts and combine them with their own imagination."
