Abstract:
"The comic book series 'Saga' establishes a powerful correlation between accurate
representation of cultural diversity and heightened social awareness within the realm of
storytelling and fiction. An analysis of 'Saga'’s culturally diverse universe explores how the series
showcases diversity and raises social and cultural awareness to the medium through a visual and
narrative study. In order to establish parameters that visual storytellers must consider to craft
stories that are honest representations of cultural diversity through the conceptualization of the
art, narrative and language employed."
