Abstract:
"With the development of science and technology, more and more products have digital
interfaces. These interfaces are primarily functional and provide ease of use. However, many
digital interfaces do not necessarily match users’ mental models, which results in the need to
navigate between different sections and levels when completing a task. As a result, the artist’s
process is not effectively supported. This thesis proposes a new way to organize the path of tasks
in an interface that is more intuitive, convenient and efficient for the artist or user. The design
needs to begin with a mental model that analyzes users’ thinking and behavior, as well as artists’
processes. With this approach, the digital interface can implement a rational and organizational
information architecture that provides users with an intuitive operational path to support their
artistic process. This approach will also improve fault tolerance and offer guidance to users. This thesis will focus on designing a digital interface for professional cameras that will
support art photographers by applying the design method described above."
