The masks turn abstract emotions and mental states into visible and sensible concrete images, and reveal the feelings of the characters inside the story. This thesis will study the painting theory of Sichuan Opera Face, how it affects both role definition and emotional expression of a character, and examine the possibility of its application in CGI."
