Abstract:
"My photographic work is a directorial vision of my children as seen through
my eyes. It is an exploration of the nature of familial love and most notably a
mother’s love for her children. Comprising scenes that are directed to a greater or
lesser extent, some of the images are taken in the moment, and others are recreations
of real moments that happened before I had my camera in my hand. A parent knows her own children better than anyone else. My intimate
knowledge of my own children has allowed me to create photographs that both
reveal them as unique individuals and that communicate broader themes of
childhood, discovery, and love."
