Abstract:
"This thesis will analyze the correlation between violence and western societal moral values, as
reflected in Hollywood's character aesthetic evolution of Batman and Joker in the films
Batman (1966), Batman (1989), and The Dark Knight (2008). The central characters will reflect
the opposing hero and villain, such as Batman and the Joker. My research from these particular
decades and film analysis will inform the futuristic aesthetic development of Batman and the
Joker."

Includes "Batman vs Joker," a revolving computer-generated image of a fight scene between Batman and Joker.
