Abstract:
"Inspired by the poem 'Oh May I Join the Choir Invisible' by George Eliot, the images in this series look at and pose questions about mortality from a loosely defined spiritual
perspective in which a connection to nature plays a significant role. The exhibition includes still life images created using both historic and digital photographic processes, as well as sculptural sound installation, and explores perceptions and experiences of
mortality from multiple perspectives – while drawing attention to that which is most vulnerable, yet most precious and necessary for our survival." --Abstract
Keywords: mortality, still life, historic process, wet plate collodion, photography, poetic memory, non-linear narrative.
