Abstract:
"This thesis focuses on the creativity and discovery that takes place within a Latino bicultural sensibility of Rasquache. From here, our experiences are enriched with a mixture of cultural products, unique attitudes, and complex relationships from within the Latino community. My work is interdisciplinary as it grows from an exploration and documentation of a personal history. This brief reflection on family and cultural history is a rich place to engage a dialogue about the importance of sustaining our diverse cultural traditions through unique aesthetics, processes, and longing."
