Abstract:
"The primary objective of this thesis is to change the perception that street art and architecture cannot function dependently of one another. That art does not belong in the built environment, contrary to popular belief. In many instances street art is portrayed as inappropriate in almost all forms; this thesis seeks to negate this stereotype presenting a case and setting in which street art is appropriate. It can be interpreted that street art and architecture are clashing entities throughout time and history. This thesis believes the result of these two clashing forces can create and regenerate a community that inspires change helping to develop a new and transformative architecture."
