Abstract:
The focus of this thesis concentrates on the following concepts: It is a guide for filmmakers to help identifying the technical, physical and financial challenges of underwater filmmaking and tips to overcome these problems. This thesis will include research on how to plan before the dive and what steps to take after the dive is over. This thesis will provide a brief history of underwater filmmaking. This thesis paper will include analyses of three documentary films with underwater cinematography and their influence to 'Sustaining the Snapper', MFA graduate thesis film at Savannah College of Art and Design.
