Abstract:
Mythology acts as a mirror to see our true self. The myths I draw are the guide to hidden truth, and ruminations on life and death. Through illustrative drawings, prints, and sculpture, I have created a new mythological world, inspired by religion, tall tales, and fables. The cycle of myth revolves around elaborate narrative scenes populated with characters such as the fox, bear, and
woodsman. With the recognizable symbolism I use, it invites viewers to contemplate their own inner life by giving meaning to the narratives and objects in the work.
