Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the subject of coping with death and grief in children’s picture
books. It also analyzes the use and the accessibility of these books to the general public, as well
as the benefits to using these books as tools of communication and understanding between
children and adults. The goal of my thesis project is to result in the creation of a picture book
that addresses the need for validation and support for grieving children as a result of my
research.
