Abstract:
The photographic body of work Sites & Insights is a visual diary that examines
my own, intimate space beyond its surface appearances. I strive to capture the
interconnectedness between objects, individuals, space, and memory as I
explore the containment of autobiography within the four walls of a room and the
four sides of a photograph. I am interested in the push and pull of past and
present and how this reciprocity contributes to the formation of my own identity in
space and time. The poetic images that form are a catena of reflections and
projections of self.
