Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the shift from story arc to “event”-based death-rebirth narratives in modern American mainstream comics. This thesis does not emphasize the technical aspect of writing these narratives. Instead, the primary focus is on published narratives and sales. The aim of the thesis is to study problems in “event” based narratives and to find better ways to attract new readers through storytelling.
