Abstract:
This thesis focuses on redesigning an elementary school and community center in one of the worst crime ridden neighborhood in one of the worst cities to live in in the United States which is Camden, New Jersey. It is suggested that architecture can play a major role in reducing crime, poor education, and poverty in this city or any other dilapidated cites around the country. The redesign in the school is strongly influenced by the thorough research found in this document.
