Abstract:
This thesis will attempt to create a space that provides a therapeutic environment for those seeking help and a space for the community to learn about the issues regarding mental health while in the process destigmatizing mental health. The subject of how a space can impact the way a person thinks and experiences is frequently explored, especially in medical hospitals, but not always directed at mental health. While avoiding what constitutes as an institution, this building intends to detail significant elements that induce an inviting environment and therapeutic healing spaces.
