Abstract:
In today’s world, the majority of communication and information is transmitted visually.
The information available seems limitless. However, for people who are color deficient, or who
have low vision, these resources are indeed limited. This thesis investigates the challenges in
designing information that is accessible for people with vision deficits. Color, typography,
and iconography will be analyzed in order to provide a set of solutions and tools for graphic
designers to communicate better, with a wider audience, in the presentation of information
in print, on the web, and in mobile applications.
