Abstract:
This thesis details an investigation into the use of abstract images in documentary
filmmaking. It does so through film analyses and the empirical experience of a thesis
documentary production. The film analyses provide a foundation of abstraction
techniques and usage which are employed throughout the production of the thesis film.
This thesis summarizes the outcome of the investigation.
