Abstract:
The design intent of this thesis is to create and establish a new community life. The location of the site ( between St. Claude and N. Rampart) will
create
street life for the area. The existing culture of the city should be preserved and with a new community center this challenge can be reached. It is
the
intention of this thesis to propose a new foundation to the community that will help revitalize the area. The concept behind the proposed
community
center is “Rebirth” a rebirth to the area , a new start, and a stronger community. The underdeveloped neighborhood is in direr need of a up
lifting, with the community center it will entice return, and growth.
