Abstract:
This thesis analyzes current video game sound workflow with an emphasis on Foley in order to create a viable solution of adaptive Foley for use in video games and interactive media. By incorporating the current techniques of surface material assignment and adaptive character states sound can better establish an effective means of emotional user feedback to enhance user immersion in modern gameplay through Foley.
