Full page cartoon. This cartoon incorporates Rodin's famous statue of "The Thinker." Life sometimes tapped into the growing popularity of the socialist movement, and around this time, "The Thinker" was being interpreted as a working class hero representing Democracy. Life magazine covers were on a variety of topics. Each issue had a theme that was introduced by the cover and reflected throughout the issue. The theme of this issue was Indian Summer.
