V & A Steamworks
Creator:
Himber, Guy
Description:
Book made from over 200 individual LEGO parts featuring a fully functional spine, cover, and pages. The illustrations are printed on vinyl and they highlight some of Himber's personal Steampunk models. Artist's statement: "Steampunk is a formal term that refers to a subgenre of speculative science fiction set in an anachronistic 19th century society. In other words, it is a fun, fantasy style that is full of lots of whimsy and interesting hand-craftiness in brass and wood. It is my main muse when I design and build."
