Description:
Wire-edge binding with various printings, papers with fold-outs and laminates. Limited edition of 95 numbered copies signed by the author. Distributor: "APPROX. DCLXVI examines the number DCLXVI (666). Widely recognized for its inherent evil - and geometric and factorial properties - 666 is a common symbol of demonized figures in contemporary and historical mythologies. The literary dimensions of this peculiar cultural fetish are explored in APPROX. DCLXVI through a series of 666 anagrams, each anagram employing verse 13:18 from the Book of Revelations, "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is Six Hundred, Three Score and Six." Several anagrams are accompanied with illustrations."
