Book is constructed from a single cut and folded sheet. Edition of 23. Publisher's insert: "Offset lithography and screenprint on Steel Blue French Paper. The text was screenprinted from 12 pt. Hoefler. The book is bound as a modified accordian." Colophon: "I Know the Woods Come Alive at Night was produced at The University of the Arts in 2018. This book was offset printed in the Borowsky Center for Publication Arts by Amanda D'Amico and screenprinted by the artist ... this book was designed and bound by the artist as a modified accordion." Artist's statement: "I Know the Woods Come Alive at Night depicts the forest as if it were an architectural structure with a carpet leading visitors to the entrance. However, with only experiencing the outside, we are left to wonder what this liminal space contains. That text in this book was excerpted from an online hunting forum entitled "Do you ever get afraid in the woods?" and is positioned low on the pages, causing the viewer to crouch down to read as if they are looking for something in the thicket. These posts are confessions of fear which disprove my notion of the Southern male archetype and convey how I feel about going into the woods at night."
