Description:
Titan AE was released in 2000 by Fox Animation Studios. Titan A.E. is animated post-apocalyptic science fiction adventure film directed by both Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. Titan refers to the spacecraft that is central to the plot, A.E. refers to “After Earth.” The story begins in the year 3028 after the Drej, a species of pure energy, destroys Earth after discovery of a monumental human experiment called “Project Titan.” Professor Sam Tucker, lead researcher for the project, gives his son, Cale, a ring and an artifact, before the evacuation of earth. Professor Tucker is presumably lost moving Titan off earth before it is destroyed. The story resumes 15 years later, when Cale Tucker, working in a salvage yard, is recruited by Captain Joseph Korso to search for the lost spaceship, Titan, which supposedly holds the secret to destroying humanity's alien enemies. After uncovering much deception and many double agents, Cale and co-pilot Akima work their way through what becomes the survival of the human race.
