Abstract:
"This thesis focuses on applying lessons from themed entertainment design to the design of fashion exhibitions. The present state of fashion exhibition design and best practices in the field are viewed through several years of 'Fashion Theory' exhibition reviews, while lessons in themed entertainment design are viewed through Mickey's Ten Commandments. One potential path to success in a fashion exhibition is combining a clear curatorial statement, the principle of artifact fidelity, and knowing one's audience." --Abstract Keywords: curation, fashion exhibitions, Mickey's Ten Commandments, museums, themed entertainment design
