Abstract:
|
"Even though storyboards are often done in 2D or usually have an appearance of 2D drawings, 3D environments can broaden the storyboard artist's perspective on the possibilities on how to tell a story. Artists can experiment more with camera movements, shot angles, and lens usage before settling on one shot. My film explores the ways 3D environments can make the storyboarding process more efficient and faster. To better understand the hidden capabilities of the 3D camera, I will be researching sequences done in animation and in live actions films. 3D is a useful tool to create dynamic shots and sequences in storyboards, creating a more immersive experience for viewers by experimenting with various camera angles, lens, and movements." --Abstract
