Abstract:
|
“In this photographic story-telling series I explore The Renaissance era, with its profound artistic achievements and intellectual ferment, serves as a fertile ground for me to explore the complexities of human experience. Drawing inspiration from the masterpieces of this period, I reimagine myself as a participant in these historic tableaus and religious artwork, both challenging and embracing the artistic conventions of the time. By merging the traditional with the contemporary, I aim to bridge the temporal gap and create a visual dialogue that transcends centuries. At the heart of my artistic exploration lies the theme of trauma. By inserting myself into Renaissance paintings, I aim to confront the enduring impact of personal and collective wounds. Through my collaged photos, I weave together narratives of pain, resilience, religion, and transformation, inviting viewers to reflect on their own struggles and the healing potential within.” –Abstract
