Abstract:
"The aim of this thesis is to investigate the ways of delivering sustainable impact to community needs in Zambia through the catalytic power of music. The study gauges music's catalytic power in Zambian communities and Western world communities and uses the results as a basis for proposing a solution framework to further amplify it in Zambia. The study shows the potential and impact of music and of its uses: music as a pedagogical tool, empowering people through interpersonal relationships, constructing a soundtrack to life, nurturing collaborations within communities, and establishing a sustainable community." --Abstract
